Football fans of the Algerian national team celebrated their squad's win in the Arab Cup Final, Paris, Saturday, with clashes with police erupting in the streets.
People burned flares and smoke grenades with police seen detaining several fans.
Algeria beat their neighbour Tunisia (2-0) in the final of the Arab Cup played in Qatar to secure their first-ever trophy in the regional competition.
On their way to the final, Algeria saw off Morocco in a penalty shootout before beating host Qatar (2-1) thanks to a last-minute penalty.
