Afropop artist ND drops first Amapiano single
ND is an Afropop singer, producer and songwriter, who writes and sings in French, Portuguese, Swahili, Lingala, English and Dutch. Bella is the follow up of ND's single Malika. Both Bella and Malika are about the love for a particular African woman. Bella is ND's first Amapiano song for which he worked with Giordan Chase and his regular team, producers Joost Jellema and Clinsman.
Bella
Bella is an Amapiano track in the languages French and Lingala. Amapiano means literally ‘the pianos’ in Zulu. It’s a style of house music that emerged in South Africa in 2012 and is taking over the world the last two years. It is a hybrid of deep house, jazz and lounge music characterized by synths and wide percussive basslines. Bella is part of ND's upcoming EP in Spring 2023, which is an ode to African women. Every track of the EP is named after a particular African woman. ND also works on his second album Jungle Of Melodies II, which will be out late 2023. Bella will be released on Friday, December 9.
ND
Afropop singer/songwriter and producer ND was born in Mbuji Mayi (former Bakwanga), Republic the Congo in 1988. Raised and guarded by his grandmother, he starts singing in the church at very young age where he created the fundamentals of his present-day musical imprint. His stage name is based on his initials: The D of David and the N stands for his surname Ngala-Mulume. ND is currently living in Antwerp, Belgium.
Giordan Chase
Giordan Chase is a fellow dj/producer from Amsterdam, the Netherlands and is part of the ‘Afrolosjes’ team. Afrolosjes has been the leading afro event in Amsterdam for over seven years with Paradiso as its home base. On December 10th, Afrolosjes has its 8th anniversary and Bella will be performed live, during the event.
