Nantongo(Afrigoband) - Bass part breakdown by O.V.Gilberto

Nantongo is a Ugandan World music song First recorded in the early 80's using cassette tape recording but this version was Re-recorded around 2005 by Afrigo band[the oldest band in Uganda] led by Saxophonist/Vocalist/Afrigo band founder, Mr. Matovu Moses(Papa Moi).
The bassline has a repetitive phrases of 16th & 8th notes bass riffs that keeps repeating within just 4 bars but played solidly over the whole song. To me, this is one of the most legit bassline of Afrigo band compositions.
This song is in the key of (G major) with common time 4/4 and major triads chord progression as seen below ;

NOTICE:
I talked to Mr. Charles Busulwa(the current bassist of Afrigo band) few minutes today TUESDAY 26th july 2023 before this video had premiered, trying to find out the real truth whether it was Mr. Busulwa who played the bassline for this song Natongo as I had stretched the information in the video, mentioning his name as the main creator for this bassline, but he told me that by the time of recording this song Nantongo, he hadn't yet joined Afrigo band. But instead the bassline was originally played by a gentle man known as J.J OTHIENO from the UK , a producer, guitarist & bassist too.
I also consulted Mr. Matovu Moses the Afrigo band leader and he confirmed that it was J.J.OTHIENO who really played the bass for this song from a recording that happened in U.K around 2005. So thank you Mr. Busulwa &Papa Moi for the clarification.
