Algeria to Hold Presidential Election in September

Algeria will hold its presidential election on the 7th of September giving President Abdelmajid Tebboune more than five months to campaign should he decide to seek a second term.
The presidency announced the date in a statement on Thursday after meeting high-ranking members of Parliament and the constitutional court as well as its independent election authority.
